Doreen LouiseWALKERIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen on Tuesday 13th February 2024, aged 77 years. Mother to Roger, Grandma to Claire, Gemma & Ebony, Great Grandma to Kacie-Mae, Charlie & Phoebie, Sister to Malcolm and also a great friend to many.
In her younger years, Doreen spent time working as a factory worker at Rists wires and cables. She loved people and was well known in Accrington, especially on Blackburn Road. This is where she mainly liked to socialise and enjoy a half of mild and sometimes a sing on the karaoke.
Doreen fell ill about 18 months ago and after a long stay in hospital moved to Belvedere Care Home. She settled very well here and was very well looked after by all the staff who also treat her as family.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 29h February 2024 at Accrington Crematorium at 1pm, followed by committal at Dill Hall Cemetery, at 2pm.
