AudreyHAWORTHIt is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey on December 12, 2025, in Springhill Care Home, Accrington with her daughter Jennifer and son-in-law David by her side at the age of 94 years.
Audrey was the devoted wife of the late Roy and cherished Mum to Jennifer and David. She was also a much loved Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Sister-in-Law, and Aunt. Audrey was a much loved friend to many.
Audrey was born in Leeds on May 28, 1931, to Ernest and Violet Revell, one of eleven children, eight girls and three boys. Even though the family did not have much in the way of money, they made up for this in their love and companionship of each other.
The family subsequently moved to Dewsbury, where Audrey lived and worked in the textile industry. After she met Roy during a family holiday in the Isle of Man, they began a four-year courtship over the Pennines, finally marrying on March 26, 1955.
After her marriage, Audrey moved to Accrington, where she remained until her passing. They had one much loved daughter Jennifer, who became her rock following the sudden death of Roy in 1994.
Audrey had the most beautiful smile that lit up her face and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Audrey will be very sadly missed by her loving family and friends. Jennifer and David would like to thank Springhill Care Home for the care and love shown to Audrey over the last three years.
Audrey was a very special person who will be greatly missed but she leaves treasured memories for her family and friends.
