JamesCOOKJames passed away peacefully in Hospital on 3rd September aged 90. He was a resident of Springhill Care Home in Accrington where he was lovingly cared for. James was the husband of the late Mary Cook and wonderful father to Patricia and her husband David and grandfather to Paul and Michelle. Born in Blackburn, James worked in joinery, coach building and building trades all his working life. Through long working hours he bought a newly built bungalow in Oswaldtwistle where he lived with Mary for most of his long life. Jim spent every hour outside work making the bungalow into a home accompanied by his labourer daughter Pat. When Grandson Paul was born Jim and Mary shared their holidays with him for many years and readily provided sitting and care. He invested his retirement in caring for the families pet dogs, model making and some very special holidays. Jim was a wonderful husband father and grandad who achieved so much in his long life. The funeral will be held on Monday the 3rd of October at 11.40am at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations to RSPCA Altham.
