Darren Baldwin Funerals is an independent family ran funeral business which is not part of a national company or any funeral organisation. I have been part of the Gateshead community all of my life. I attended local schools from 1974 to 1986. I have now worked in the funeral industry for over 20 years and I gained my advanced diploma in funeral directing back in 2002. For most of my funeral career, I have worked for one of the country’s largest funeral companies.
When the opportunity came around I moved on to become a funeral director. After a few years, I moved into a management role which involved me taking control of day to day management of the funeral business. I have been involved with training and the development of new staff for many years, across the country. I wanted to open my own funeral business in Gateshead to help my local community and provide a more personal touch in all aspects of the funeral process. I feel being open honest and genuine at all times goes a long way with people.
