Stan was truly everyone’s friend. He had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome, often taking new members under his wing and helping them settle in with ease. His kindness and generosity of spirit were felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He approached every activity with enthusiasm and a willingness to take part, bringing a quiet encouragement to those around him. On a personal note, Stan was also incredibly supportive, offering his time and insight to help shape a training profile, which was greatly appreciated.

Stan spoke often and proudly of his family and his career, and he had a phrase he loved to share with students and visitors alike: “the more you learn, the more you earn.” It was a reflection of his belief in growth, opportunity, and the value of lifelong learning.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of a truly wonderful gentleman. Stan will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by everyone at Young at Heart ULO.

So saddened to hear about Stan. He was a true gentleman, always kind and caring to everyone. We loved hearing his interesting stories about Rita and his family over a pint in the sun. He was a massive part of the gym and the gym quiz, always ready and eager with his pen! Love Adele & Neil xx
