I can hardly believe I am writing this tribute to Anne who was a much loved and fabulously remembered friend from my school days and young adulthood. Anne was so vibrant , funny and vivacious and I was privileged to be in the orbit of her world during a very formative time in our youth. She was only ever kind , witty and full of exuberance and joy in my memories of her. Our (pre-social media) lives evolved and we became latterly more connected through online communication. But even then the absolute love , joy , happiness and pride that Anne had for her son Charlie emanated from the updates , pictures and posts she kindly shared. I cannot imagine your loss and am so ,so sorry . I have shed many tears since learning of her passing and can only say that knowing the amazing human being she was , she will have left a truly precious and wonderful legacy in her son. My love , thoughts and sincerest condolences to Charlie & all of her family. Fiona Whelan

Dear Anne, although we lost touch in adulthood, you were most definitely a bright fixture in our childhood. Best friend to my sister Sarah for so many years, I have lost count of the number of fun memories I have of you. You singing Whitney Houston BRILLIANTLY in our kitchen to my mother’s absolute delight. I can’t listen to Whitney without thinking of you! The bags and bags of sweets you two used to buy with your pocket money alongside the 10p cigs that you and Sarah smoked on the balcony wearing rubber gloves and hats so nobody would catch you out with the smell. I also remember how loyal you were. You and Yasmin hussein. If there was ever any problem for the rest of us with a bully, you and Yasmin would have no reservations in wading in to battle it out for your friends. I can see by all these beautiful tributes that you were as wonderful in adulthood, and I pray for your family, but especially your beautiful son, that they find a way to get through this difficult period of grief. All my love, Fiona Clarke.
