So sorry to hear about Marie's recent death. She was a very good friend to my parents in Edinburgh in the 1980s when my Mum was the sales agent for the SSWA, and Marie was a regular exhibitor. When my parents died in 1992, Marie was very supportive to me and we corresponded by Christmas cards, even when she and Bert moved away from the North-East. I remember her very fondly.

Marie was a gentle, kind person who was also wonderful creative artist. She lived with her family in Warkworth and was a great supporter of the village primary school that her daughters Katherine and Louise attended.
I appreciated her commitment to the school and I am sure Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
