IreneWOODIt is with sadness to announce the sudden passing of Irene on 18th February 2026, aged 96 years.
Devoted wife to her late husband Harry, may they be reunited in eternal peace. Irene, a dearly loved and cherished mother to Barry, Elaine and Gaynor, a beloved mother-in-law, precious grandma, great-grandma, a much loved sister and an unforgettable friend.
Irene's funeral service is to be held on Tuesday 24th March 2026, at 12noon at Holy Trinity Church, Meir, followed by her burial service at Longton Cemetery. Family and mourners are kindly asked to meet at the Church service.
Family flowers only please however should you prefer to donate in loving memory of Irene, the family are collecting towards the Douglas Macmillan Children's Hospice and would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
