JimWILLIAMSIt is with profound sadness, we announce the death of Jim Williams following a short battle with cancer.
Jim passed away peacefully with his beloved children Catherine and James at his side.
Pre-deceased by his much-loved parents Ted and Margaret and brother Tony.
He leaves behind his wife Hilary, his children Catherine and James and his step-daughters, Rachel and Ruth.
Born in Birmingham, Jim lived a full life focused on his family and friends.
An avid rugby player and fan and for 60 years, he was a lifelong member of Kings Norton Rugby Club where in his later years he set up the girl’s team.
Jim cared deeply about the state of the world and was actively involved in politics throughout his life with strongly held values and convictions that he put into practice.
He was devoted to his family and adored by his 10 grandchildren and great-grandson. He will be remembered forever with deep affection, love and joy.
We are grateful for the compassionate care he received from all at Marie Curie Hospice during the end of his life.
Funeral at Robin Hood Cemetery.
Friday 11th July, 3pm.
