ChristineWILKINSONnee Ball, sadly passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, after a short stay at Pendleside Hospice, Burnley, following a two-year illness, aged 63. During her working life, amongst a number of roles, she worked as a care assistant at a care home and latterly as an escort for pupils at Rossendale School. Christine is survived by her father Kenneth, partner Ken, daughter Lyndsay, sons Paul and Steven, brother Kevin, plus many grandchildren and one great-grandson. In the latter years of her life, she was cared for constantly by her partner Ken, and other close family and friends. With many visits to hospitals, outstanding care was also given by all hospital staff including doctors, nurses and Macmillan staff. However, the family would like to pay particular tribute and thanks to all the District Nurse Team for their impeccable care and compassion shown to Christine. Before the end she was fully aware of the role they alone played in her care. For this, the family are extremely grateful. Funeral director: Alderson & Horan Funeral Services Ltd.
