Angus MacdonaldWHYTEAngus Macdonald Whyte, passed away peacefully on 3rd January 2026, aged 86 years.
Angus was a man who truly lived life to the full. Known for his unwavering positive outlook, he approached every day with energy, optimism and kindness. His generosity of spirit extended far beyond his family, as he gave so much to the community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Throughout his life, Angus dedicated countless hours to serving the community in Dunblane & Stirling. He was for many years the Chair of the Children's Panel in Stirling helping vulnerable young people, he set up and was the Chair of Access to Industry, supporting individuals into education and employment and was Chair of Forth Valley Disability Sport, a charity supporting sports for people with disabilities. Angus' commitment to making a difference was evident in everything he did, including at the age of 81 years climbing Ben Ledi 12 times to reach the height of Mount Everest for Strathcarron Hospice. His efforts strengthened community bonds and inspired many to follow his example of selflessness and compassion. Angus will be remembered not only for his zest for life but also for his dedication to helping others and his ability to bring people together. His warmth and humour touched countless lives and his legacy of service and goodwill will endure for generations. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret and is survived by their loving daughter Alison, their devoted son Alun and their cherished grandchildren Liam, Kerr and Georgia, who will continue to honour his memory and values. His life was a testament to the power of positivity and community spirit. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.
