BasilWHITTINGTONAnn and the family would like to thank all those people who attended Basil's funeral. It was a great comfort to see so many dear friends, neighbours colleagues and well-wishers. Thank you very much for the many letters, cards, prayers and wishes of condolence and support that helped to comfort us so much. Thank you to Rev. Nick Bromfield for his sensitive support, help and sympathy and to Rev. Helen Rodwell for her sympathy and understanding. Thank you to Andrew De Witt of Ernest Heal & Sons for his immaculate organisation and support, Forget-Me-Not florists for the absolutely wonderful flowers, Mr Richard Whittington for the Birdsong used in the service and Robert for details about the family history. Thank you to the Forest of Dean Crematorium and to Speech House Hotel for beautiful venue and fantastic food and service. Last but not least thank you to the Stroke Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital for their faultless care and gentle respect for Basil during his last days.
