JohnWHITELAWJohn passed away peacefully at home, in his sleep, on Monday 23rd March 2026, aged 89 years.

John will always be remembered as a fiercely independent, charismatic, and fun-loving gentleman who embraced life to the fullest. Known for his stories and sense of humour, he earned a reputation among many as something of a legend. He offered support, friendship, and guidance to others, and was always there for a chat or a bit of encouragement for anyone who asked. He was a loved husband, dad, brother, uncle, granddad, and great granddad, as well as a good friend to many. John will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at Alness Church of Scotland (Perrins Road) on Wednesday 8th April 2026, commencing at 12 noon thereafter to Alness Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Family flowers only please, but a donation, if desired, can be made at the service, or below for Alness Bowling Club.

Enquiries to Mairi Urquhart & Son, tel. 01349 880901.
