LenaWHITELena White, of Haslingden, peacefully passed away at Danesmoor Residential Care Home on Saturday, January 30, with her family by her side, aged 94. Lena was Haslingden born and bred; she worked at CWL Slipper Works, along with bringing up her family. Wife of the late John White, she leaves behind her two sons Tony and Neil, daughters-in-law Jayne and Marjorie, six grandchildren, Phillip, Christopher, Stephanie, David, Ellis and Oliver, and great-grandchildren. Lena loved knitting and would spend many happy hours knitting away on her veranda whilst listening to the radio, but her main love was her family who she adored; she will be sadly missed by them all. Due to the current restrictions in place a private family funeral service and committal will take place on Thursday, February 18 at Accrington Crematorium, officiated by Fr. Andrew Holmes. Family flowers only; donations if desired in memory of Lena to Dementia UK c/o funeral director Caroline HoldenDewhurst for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
