Sorry to hear of John’s passing. Haven’t seen him for many years but remember him well at Salford College. He was a kind and inspirational teacher who led the building crafts section with great wisdom and enthusiasm. RIP John

John was a true gentlemen - a great listener who cared about everyone he met. He was warm and wise and the world was a better place with him in it. Our loss and heaven’s gain.

Dear Beryl, Jane & Jacob, I am so sorry for your loss of such an important loved one one all of your lives and for your heartbreak. I hope this little poem gives you some comfort. The love for your husband, father and grandad will continue in your hearts.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
