It was with nostalgia and great sadness we learned of Jackie's passing when he was prayed for at 10 o'clock mass in St. Joseph's Church Boyle, this morning. Jackie will be fondly remembered for his wit, humour and stories. Jackie visited Boyle regularly where he called to the graveyard to visit the family grave and visited old neighbours and friends where a cup of tea and chat was enjoyed. He continued to do this until illness prevented him from doing so. During Jackie's visits we enjoyed recalling old times and the trears often ran down our face with the craic we had. Jackie had a great graw for his home town. This marks the end of an old native family of Boyle. We lived right next door to Jackie's family. His mother Margaret was a lady and a kind, helpful and wonderful neighbour. Jackie may your kind gentle soul rest in eternal peace. All the McLoughlin's (Shop) St. Patrick Street, Boyle.
