Andrew DennisWALSHBorn in Bury, Lancs on 4th August 1948, he studied at Newcastle University before a long career with Northumbria Police.

He retired to France in 2004, where he died on 4th May 2026.

A kind-hearted, thoughtful and intelligent man, he was renowned for his laid-back nature and great sense of humour. He will be missed by all.

A kindred spirit from University days, who became a lifetime friend. He introduced us to his wife to be Rita, who also became a wonderful friend, when we visited him in Finland. Our families have lovely memories of happy times spent together.
