September 10th was a sad day,
When Elena Walsh was laid to rest,
Her passion, kindness and caring,
We’re just simply the best.
She was an excellent mentor,
She taught me so much,
Her thoughtfulness for the families,
Her kind and caring touch.
I loved our marathon phone calls,
Not sure if it was her fault or mine,
But she would always check at 59 minutes,
That she hadn’t ran out of time.
She was always there if you needed her,
To lend an ear or to advise,
This lady was such a legend
So knowledgeable and wise
If ever there was a party,
Elena’s signature dish of tuna pasta she would bring,
It was always very popular and,
It was definitely my favourite thing.
She would laugh at my menopause symptoms,
I’d say, wait until it’s your turn,
She apologised when she hit it,
And empathised her concern
I had just spoken to you the week before,
Telling me about Sean’s surprise
You were so excited about the engagement
That Seany will have a beautiful bride
I offered to take you shopping
As a mother of the groom you will be,
You were so excited of this upcoming event
It was clear for all to see
Sadly, you won’t be there in person
But he knows you’ll be by his side
As his Mother and best friend
You will always be his guide
Pat & Sean, you did Elena proud,
A fitting tribute for a person so caring, kind and smart,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you always,
She’ll be forever in you minds and hearts
Elena, you will be greatly missed
As a wife, a Mother and a friend,
May your legacy continue
To show your dedication had no end
Elena, Rest in eternal peace,
With your friends and family,
Your life will live on in Seany,
Which I know will make you proud as you can be.
It’s not goodbye forever
And this is not the end,
We will meet again one day,
God bless you my dear friend.
Lots of love always, Josie
❤️❤️❤️
