Esme OliviaWALLISIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mum, Esme Olivia Wallis, who passed away peacefully on 22nd June 2026, aged 70.
Esme died as she had lived: deeply loved. She was surrounded by family, held close by those who meant the most to her, and left this world knowing she was cherished.
To try to sum up a mother in a few lines is impossible. Esme was not just our mum; she was home. She was the person we came from, the person we returned to, and the person whose love shaped us in ways we will carry for the rest of our lives.
She was strong, loyal and generous. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and gave of herself consistently. Her presence filled ordinary days with humour, warmth and certainty. Her absence will be felt in every small, everyday moment that now has to happen without her.
Esme was a much-loved mum to Nina and Rhea, mother-in-law to James, a treasured grandmother to Olivia, Liam, Benjamin, Katie, Ben, Jack, Sasha, Ethan, Preston, Phoebe, Priyah, and a proud great-grandmother to Saxia. She was also a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many who knew her, loved her, and will miss her deeply.
Her funeral will take place at The Park Crematorium on Friday 17th July 2026 at 10:30am, followed by a wake at The Park Crematorium from 12:15pm. All who knew and loved Esme are welcome to join us as we remember her, celebrate her life, and say goodbye.
Donations, if desired, may be made in Esme's memory to Marie Curie or St Luke's Hospice.
We will miss her for the rest of our lives.
