JohnWALKERThe family of John Walker announce with great sadness his passing on the 5th September 2021, at the age of 74 years. John was born in Whitworth, attending Blackthorn School before spending his career working in quarrying, demolition, and construction. He emigrated to the North of France for 14 years before returning home to spend more time with his family. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maureen, all family and his many friends and neighbours. Service of celebration to take place at Whitworth Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday 29th September 2021 at 11.30am, followed by interment at graveside. Floral tributes would be gratefully received, donations if desired to the RSPCA. A donation box will be available on the day. A reception will then follow at The Ashcroft, Whitworth (formerly The Civic Hall/ The Riverside). All who knew him are welcome to attend.
