Grace GeorginaWAKELINGIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Georgina Wakeling, who peacefully passed away at the University Hospital of Wales on Friday 13th March 2026, aged 96 years.
A devoted wife to Douglas, a much loved mum to Julie and Michelle, and a respected mother-in-law to Pete and Mike. Grace was a cherished Nan to Alex, Jamie, Phillip, Sarah and David. Great Nan to Emma, Morgan, Dylan, Chloe, Maddie, Evie, Annie, Bella, Theo and Sonny.
Grace will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and will be forever remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the joy she brought to others. she was always singing, filling the hearts of those around her with happiness.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the University Hospital of Wales for the care, compassion and support shown to Grace and her family.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday 8th April 2026 at D Caesar Jones Chapel, Pant Bach Road, CF14 1TW at 2.30pm, followed by burial at Thornhill Cemetery, Thornhill Road, CF14 9UA at 3.30pm.
