SydneyVINESSydney David Vines (Syd) of Fishtoft Drove Frithville passed away peacefully at the Georgians Care Home on the 25th March 2026 aged 92 years. Much loved Uncle of Alan & Mary. Funeral service at Boston Crematorium on Monday 27th April 2026 at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired will be shared between the Georgians Care Home Residents Fund & Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and may be sent to F E Addlesee & Son Funeral Directors 44 Castle Street Boston PE21 8PN Telephone 01205 311303

I'm sorry to here the sad news of my uncle Syd in memories gone by I use to see poddling up and down on his tractor in fields near church lane,in the times gone by I use to stay at nans house help picking the goose gogs of the bushes picking pears and apples all for bottling or storing for winter uncle Syd was there to empty the baskets for me, he use to thrashing in them days putting sheaths of corn in machine then bag it up.my nan use to keep shire horses too the days I use to feed them not now things have got larger combine/tractors use to be hard work then, uncle Syd was kind helped me out then as I was a young lad, he use to like his shooting a few pheasants/pidgeons in winter the times we had out on the farm this is how I remember him he loved the carrington rally to old bygons and tat. Its a sad day today i'll be thinking of him in the good times yours Robert Vines
