IreneTYRRELLIrene Tyrrell, aged 89, formerly of Verax St, Bacup died at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Monday 17th June 2024 with her family by her side. Irene was the beloved wife of her late husband John (Eddy) Edward Tyrrell, mother to Yvonne and her husband Michael, grandmother to Adelle & Rianne and great grandmother to her best friend Lewis. During her life Irene worked as a machinist and retired in her 60's from E.Sutton and Sons of Bacup. She was a member of the Royal British Legion and enjoyed playing darts and dominos for different pubs in Bacup. Although her married life was short due to the early passing of Eddy, they managed to fill their years with fun, laughter and happiness. She loved to travel and had fond memories of her holidays with several family members and friends. Her funeral will be held at Hyndburn Funeral Services on Friday 5th July at 11.45am followed by a service at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm. A celebration of her life will be held at the Rose n Bowl in Stacksteads from 1.30pm. We kindly ask for family flowers only, if desired, donations in her memory to The Royal British Legion.
