Veronica RuthTYRRELLVeronica Ruth Tyrrell (nee Brown) 'Vron' passed away suddenly at home on the 30th of November 2022 in the company of her daughter and grandson. A beloved mother of two, and 'Granny Vron' to three, Vron will be remembered for her kindness, fierce loyalty, and an impossibly sharp wit. A lover of travel, literature, and learning, Vron was born in Birmingham in 1940 during one of the first air raids over the city. She became a committed researcher, eventually securing a first-class degree in local history, and Vron touched the lives of many students and colleagues throughout her long career as a teacher. 'Mum' will be immensely missed by her family, two children, Jonathan and Kate, her daughter in law, Elisa, and three grandchildren, Alfie, Niam and Lael, and Vron's former husband, John. Vron also leaves behind her beloved cats, Neo, Bella, and Tiggs, and, of course, Pete cat who chose to adopt us as his family earlier in 2022. Vron was close to her sister, Delphine Mary 'Diz' Brown (9th April 1937 - 9th March 2018) who is also dearly missed A memorial service will be held for Vron at Perry Barr Crematorium at 14.30 on the 5th of January 2023.
