RaymondTUNNICLIFFE JPof Cherry Tree Way, Helmshore, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 14, aged 78.
He leaves behind his wife Liz, their three children Darren, Eve and Gareth, and three grandchildren Jack, Noah and Naomi.
Ray spent his life working in finance and computer services for the NHS across the north west of England and served on various local committee’s in the NHS. He served as a Magistrate on the Rossendale Bench, retiring when Rossendale was merged with the Burnley Bench. He was a firm believer in local justice being delivered in the locality where crime was committed. He was a member and Chairman of the Rossendale Probus Club. He has been treasurer for Haslingden Cricket Club and been team manager the third team. For many years, Ray was a member of the Rossendale Male Voice Choir, singing with the choir all over the country.
His funeral will take place on Thursday, September 5, 11.30am at St Peter’s, Laneside followed by a committal at Accrington Crematorium.
