Mark WilliamTOWNLEYBeloved son of Shirley (and Raymond), adored brother of Philippa and Robin(d) and dearly loved uncle of Harrison, Francesca and Sebastian. Spent 20 happy years at Shaftesbury Place, Marsland Road and leaves many friends behind.

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by his family at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 31st March 2025.

Funeral will be held at St Mary Magdalene Church, Boddington on Thursday 22nd May at 2.15pm. Family and friends gathering afterwards. Flowers welcome and can be sent to

I had the privilege of living with this lovely family many years ago now, including Mark.

Mark was such a happy and funny character that had the most infectious laugh - sometimes at the most inappropriate times! This is how I remember him, happy and laughing hysterically. He was a loveable larger than life character.

He could not have asked for a better Mum in Shirley, and Sister Philippa with her family either..

I hope you're having a laugh up there Mark, I'll whack you round the back of the head with a newspaper again if it's something naughty!! But do tell me though :-D Bless You x.

Mark was a lovely man with a fantastic sense of humour, we had many a good time and I cherish the laughs we shared.
Reunited with his brother may the laughs continue.
