Paul and Jayne were neighbours of ours in Somerton, living in one of the terraced cottages fronting Camden Road, accessed via Water Lane, where we also own one of the terraced cottages. That little row always had a real neighbourly feel about it, and Paul and Jayne were very much part of that. They were familiar faces, whether passing by on foot, in the car, or in the campervan.

My memories of Paul go back over three decades, to the early doors Somerton community — or, more simply, sharing a pint and a chat. He was always good company and always a pleasure to stop and talk to. In more recent times, it was lovely to see Paul and Jayne at the Halfway House in Pitney.

Paul must have helped more local households than I could ever count with his trusty electrical knowledge, including my mum and dad’s home in Pitney.

Rest well, Paul.

Paul my Brother
We grew up together at Fairview South Hill, we went to Long Sutton Primary School in Ron Richards Bedford CA mini bus, then later to Huish Episcopi School on a Osmond's of Curry Rivel School bus. In Yeovil Collage you were there to bring me home in a mark 2 Ford Escourt. Playing darts in the New Inn Somerton, to being at my wedding and seeing my two boys grow up, you were there, or just some brotherly advice when I needed it. You were there. But sadly, now you will not be there, and I am missing you.
Rest in Peace Paul, see you soon. Kevin.
