JackieTHOMSONSuddenly but peacefully, at home with family, on 8th August. Adored and devoted husband to Marion, inspirational father to Gary, Pamela and David and treasured grandpa of Scot, Samson and Mariella. Beloved son of the late Jack and Mary, best big bro to June and Kate, and much-loved father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, godfather and friend. Welder at Babcock for 50 years, talented sportsman and music lover.

Funeral service to which all family and friends are invited at Woodside Crematorium on Friday 6th September at 11am.

One of life’s good guys and a good family man. I have fond memories of our childhood especially when I came to live with the family for a time in the 60’s.
A great smile and I hate to say it, “the best looking guy of all the cousins.”
To Marion,David,Pamela,June, Kate and all the family I’m so sorry for your loss.

Jackie a truly lovely man, I rember the way he looked at Marion always such a look of love between them. An absolute gentleman who always took the time to chat. I know he will be missed very much by family and friends. Sending deepest condolences ❤️

Jake you were such a good friend I remember when we used to walk up the railway in the mornings to Babbies.
We would stop at the bakers on Abercorn Street on a Friday and buy a Mince Pie to share.
I was back 7 years years ago from Vancouver and we all hooked up Eric,Davy and a few others in the Wee Howff.
You gave me a gift that night which I will always treasure along with all the memories we had.
