but slowly we have realised you have not gone at all.
You are the quiet tapping rain against the window pane,
you are the breeze that blows around that seems to speak your name.
You are the little feather that turns up at our feet,
you are the reflection in the glass as we walk down the street.
And when the day is over and we look up at the sky,
we know you are the brightest star that shines upon our lives.
We knew you'd never leave us, we know how much you cared, we know you've just gone on ahead and one day we'll be there.
