13 Years on

Life, it hurts. It hurts so bad.
You're supposed to be here, and it makes me mad.
I know you're not gone because you live in me.
They say I'm strong, but how dare you leave!
You told me "forever," but you lied.
The future we dreamed, I was denied.
It's not your fault. I just wanted you to fight.
Without you here, this world's not right.
My heart, it crumbles every time I wake.
The day pushes on and it's all fake.
I'm broken without you. Can't you feel
My pain from heaven? I don't want it to be real.
You were mine... mine, mine, mine.
They just keep saying it was your time.
But you were mine. Where's our time?
Time to grow old and time to fight,
Then take our time to make it right.
Time is now all I see.
Time without you. Time left on me.
Time is now my biggest fear.
Now that you're gone, what do I do with my time here?
Time doesn't make sense. It's like an illusion.
Facing the facts to find a conclusion.
It feels like I'm running, always in suspense.
Life is a gift. Pain is the consequence
Of feeling so deeply, loving so much.
I'd give my life for one last touch,
To hold your hand, to hear your voice.
Our last goodbye was not our choice.
They say you're in heaven and I shouldn't dwell.
But now that you're gone, this world is my hell.

Birthday


No presents bought, no candles blown; this year you walk on streets of gold,
And it's so much more than the stories you've been told.

The sun is shining on your face,
and you're standing in all of God's good grace.

There were people there to meet you at that pearly gate.
Promise for me there too you will wait.

The angels no longer sing from up above;
but hand in hand together, you sing about God's love.

No more pain, no more strife,
but the gift of eternal life.

The sufferings of this world are left behind.
You made your mark; your life was not left undefined.

Someday we'll meet again,
for time is just a vapor in the wind.

But until that day comes, I will miss you every day.
I just wanted to wish you a happy heavenly birthday.

I sent a rose to you today.
I hope you didn't mind.
I left it with the Archangel
who was standing just outside.

I left a note upon it.
Signed, to my Valentine.
The simple words were blurred
from the tears I could not hide.

You have enriched my life with laughter
and made the sun to shine.
I love you and I miss you,

Sometimes when my heart is heavy,
and these tears I can't avoid,

Christmas

Every day without you
Since you had to go,
Is like summer without sunshine
And Christmas without snow.
I wish that I could talk to you
There's so much that I would say,
Life has changed so very much
Since you went away.
I miss the bond between us
And I miss your kind support,
You're in my mind and in my heart
And every Christmas thought.
I'll always feel you close to me
Altough you're far from sight,
I'll search for you among the stars
That shine on Christmas night.

12 Years on

I sit here tonight
with thoughts of you.
Wishing you were here with me
like I always do.

I know that we will be together
again some day.
When that day comes we will have nothing but
smiles on our faces and our skies no longer grey.

In this time that we are apart,
I know that we are in one anothers heart.
We always will be,
just like we were from the start.

You are a part of me,
and I am a part of you.
That is something so special
and very true.

Your gentle touch
I miss so much.
How could someone
keep something away from us,
that is so precious as such.

I do know, when there is a will
there is a way.
I promise you we will be together
forever again one day.
