To my dearest Alma,
It is difficult to find the words to say goodbye to someone who has become such a special part of my life.
For almost nine years, it has been one of the greatest privileges and honours to care for you. What began as a job soon became so much more. You welcomed me into your home, your family, and your life, and in return you gave me your trust, your kindness, and countless memories that I will treasure forever.
You taught me that strength isn’t always loud. It can be found in quiet determination, gentle smiles, unwavering faith, and the courage to face each day with dignity, no matter what it brings.
We shared so many moments together—some filled with laughter, others with challenges—but through them all, your warmth and gentle nature never left you. Even on the difficult days, there was always something about you that reminded everyone around you of the remarkable lady you were.
Watching your family care for you with such love during your final days was a true reflection of the wonderful mother and grandmother you had been throughout your life. The love surrounding you was immense.
Although my heart is heavy, I find comfort in knowing that you are now at peace. Free from pain, reunited with those who went before you, and resting safely in God’s loving arms.
Thank you, Alma, for allowing me to walk alongside you on part of your journey. Thank you for your smiles, your trust, your courage, and for enriching my life in ways I could never have imagined.
I will miss our little chats, your gentle spirit, and simply being with you. You will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I will carry your memory with me wherever life takes me.
