I knew Frank as a mature, 70 year old Visual Arts under-graduate student at Cheltenham & Gloucester College, for only a brief period of three years. He put his heart into his Ceramic Figures. They were inspired by research into ancient Cycladic Figurines of The Aegean, Greece. He was quite secretive about his exact influences, but very early in the First Year, his highly accomplished style seemed to arrive from almost nowhere. He was a pleasure to work with, always smiling happy to be in the Ceramic Studio. He knew what he wanted to do and set about achieving it with a quiet, disciplined determination. RIP Frank you are remembered well by the graduating year of 1996, under the tutorship of Jerry Fryman (Field Chair) and Jeff Powell, Technician. Andrew Morley (ex-student), Helston, Cornwall.
