Very saddened by the news of the passing of Aunty Gerty, who was an inspiration to so many. My mum always sang your praises for your taking her under your wing when she got married and she was always spoke about being eternally grateful for the time, effort and patience you gave to her when teaching her to cook and the support you gave to her in bringing us up.

I have very fond childhood memories of playing with Rob at your home in Pen-Y-Wain Place and later when you moved to Pantbach Road and will always remember you as a kind, generous and intelligent individual, strong in your moral values and wise with your words.

Our thoughts and hearts will be with Ken, Karen, Phil, Rob and all of the other family members and friends who will gather today to celebrate Aunty Gert's life.

From our family to yours.
