George DerekSTARKPeacefully on 24th January 2023, in the dedicated care of Hengoed Court Care Home and his family at his side, George former Prison Officer at HMP Swansea. Devoted husband to the late Jacqueline. Proud and loving father of Kevin and Fiona. Cherished grandpa of Kelly, Bethany, Daniel, Thomas and Rhiannon, and great grandpa to Cole and Theo. George, respected brother in law to Sylvia and the late Ken, was a friend to many and will be missed by all. Friends kindly meet for funeral service at Swansea Crematorium on Thursday 16th February at 10:30am. Family flowers only please, however donations in lieu of flowers can be made directly to Ty Conway (cheques made payable to Swansea Carers Centre, Ty Conway). I had the pleasure of working with George in the prison service and he was such an inspirational figure.He had charisma,humour and was very caring.So sad to hear of his passing,but will always remember his stories and cheeky smile.R.I.P. Steve

Thinking of you all on the Loss of such a wonderful Man he will leave such a sadness to us all at Ty Conway we will miss his cheeky smile & sense of humour not to forget his "dancing feet"
