Edwin JamesSTANSFIELDIt is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edwin James Stansfield, fondly known as ‘Eddie’
a father and respected local businessman, who passed away peacefully on June 3 at the age of 96.
For over 70 years, Eddie was the proud owner and founder of Stansfield’s Garage, a trusted and enduring part of the local community. His work and service earned him the respect of countless customers and colleagues over the decades.
He is survived by his children, along with many extended family members, friends, and members of the community
who will fondly remember his character, quiet strength, and his unique humour.
A funeral service will be held on June 27, 11.40 at Accrington Crematorium.
All who knew Eddie and wish to pay their respects are warmly invited to attend and help celebrate his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Rossendale Hospice,
in memory of E J Stansfield. May he rest in eternal peace.
