EricSTAINTHORPEThe Family of Eric Stainthorpe are very sad to announce that suddenly, yet peacefully at home in Battersby, Eric died on Monday 21st November, aged 91 years. Beloved Husband of the late Avril, wonderful Dad of Claire, Neil and Elaine, devoted Grandad of Amy and a loyal friend. Greatly admired by cyclists, rose growers and all who knew him. We are so very grateful for the loving kindness, support and care shown to our family. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Great Ayton Health Centre, the renal unit at James Cook University Hospital, the District Nurses and everyone who has looked after Eric so well over the years. We are so very grateful. Following a private cremation, a celebration of Eric's life will be held in a thanksgiving service at St. Andrew's Church, Ingleby Greenhow on Thursday 1st December at 12.15pm. No flowers please. There will be a collection in church for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in lieu or via the following link: ericstainthorpe.muchloved.com. Thank you.
