It was always a pleasure to bump into Allen in the street and it was clear he had lived a very interesting life and was very fond of his dogs. We will miss seeing him around, but it sounds like he had a life to be celebrated.

Allen St John was a lovely man who we saw regularly at The Bristol Violin Shop. He was a brilliant teacher and was very kind to all who knew him. He will definitely be missed, and never forgotten

We were so saddened to hear of Allen’s passing. He taught our son to play the violin also helping him find his musical voice and became a much-loved family friend.
A fellow long-suffering Wolves supporter who shared the pain and very occasional joy. Allen was gentle, kind, funny, and utterly devoted to his animals. We will miss his warmth, his company and his friendship.

Allen was a music teacher at my secondary school. He also lived on the housing estate I grew up on Winchester. A charming man, also an enigma wrapped up in a riddle. This is sad news. He’ll be remembered as a unique and special character, in the best possible way! 😃

We were deeply saddened to hear of Allen's passing.
We first met Allen as our daughter's piano teacher, but it didn't take long for him to become someone truly special to our entire family. His kindness, warmth, and ever-present smile made every lesson a joy, and his gentle nature left a lasting impression on all of us.
We will always remember him for his generosity, his compassion, and the happiness he brought to those around him. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of knowing Allen through my work place, where he brought his dog Albert. He was such a lovely gentleman, who always brightened my day. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
