David AnthonySMITHIt is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Anthony Smith on Monday 6th July 2026, aged 82 years, at Amber Lodge Nursing Home.
David was a devoted and much loved husband to Denise, sharing many wonderful happy years together. He was a proud and loving dad to Tania and son in law Martin, and an adoring grandad to Olivia and Isabelle, along with their husbands Lewis and Guy. We were all so grateful that he lived to welcome his great grandchildren; Connie, Tommy, Teddy, and Jack - who brought him such joy.
David was a truly special gentleman: funny, kind, and endlessly warm hearted. He will be missed profoundly by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral service to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent on Tuesday 4th August 2026 at 11.30am.
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of David to The Alzheimer's Society & Amber Lodge Resident's Fund. These can be given at the service.
