Tony Vardy (Autumn Reunion)

I've just come across this site as I was looking for posting for Mavis Pinkney (Mave the Rave). I was in a band called Autumn Reunion, at the time of Alan's passing and Mavis booked us time and again to play at the Liversage, when she was landlady there (and at Mickleover when her and Ken moved there). That's when Alan became known to the band and vice versa. Whenever the band was booked at the Liversage (and that was often) Alan always billed us as 'Best Bet' in his Tuesday column called (I think) 'Steppin Out'. If it wasn't for Alan I don't think we'd have been anywhere near as popular in that area of Derby as we were then. The band were very seriously upset and saddened by Alan's passing.
So, basically (and I'm not speaking on behalf of the rest of the band - folded in 2004), I miss you Alan and I still think of you after 14 years (some impression there I think).
That's all, folks.
Thank you
Tony Vardy (Autumn Reunion's drummer)
