RaySMALLSIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Smalls, who left us tragically on the 25th June, aged 64 years.

Ray was a dearly loved partner, a devoted dad and grandad, a much-loved brother, and a wonderful friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Ray's life will be held at St Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium, Acklam on Friday 31st July at 12pm. At Ray's request, please wear whatever you feel comfortable in rather than traditional funeral attire.

For those attending, following on motorbikes from his home address is warmly encouraged.

Following the service, all are warmly invited to join the family to share memories and continue celebrating Ray's life at The Griffin, Bader Avenue, Thornaby.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ray's memory to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

There are no words that can truly express how heartbreaking this is.

Ray was one of life's genuine, kind and gentle souls. He always had time for the people he loved, and the love he shared with Debbie was something truly special. Together they embraced life, whether they were out on their motorbikes enjoying the freedom of the open road, meeting up with friends at bike meets, or making precious memories together on holidays in the sunshine.

One of the things I will always remember most is the unconditional love Ray had for Gemma and Daryl. It was a love that came so naturally and showed the incredible family man he was. His kindness, warmth and quiet strength touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

My heart is broken for our family, and especially for Debbie, who is showing such incredible strength as she continues to fight through her injuries. We are all praying for her recovery and surrounding her with love.

Rest peacefully, Ray. You will never be forgotten. Ride free, and may the open road always be beneath your wheels. ❤️ Love From Amber Debbie's Cousin.
