BrianSMALLRIDGEMr Brian Smallridge, of Heightside Avenue, died on Wednesday, February 3, aged 80. Brian was Director of Finance at Bury Council before retirement. He was a Burnley FC fan, and loved football, rugby, cricket, and tennis. He was an avid painter and always interested in current affairs; he read the Guardian newspaper cover to cover every day - but always started with the crossword first! Brian also always enjoyed a glass of red or a Scotch. Brian played a massive part in everyone’s life and will be dearly missed. He was the most loving and caring husband, dad and grandad. He leaves wife Jackie, children Joanna and Grant, daughter-in-law Maureen, grandchildren Luci, Jon, Conor, Lauren, Dean, Tasha, Shaun and Isobel, and great-grandchildren Alfie, Annabelle, Amalie, Willow, Arlo and Carter. The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 18 at Burnley Crematorium. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Cancer Research.
