Richard ErnestSLATERPassed away peacefully on January 12th 2023, aged 96 years. Beloved husband of Mavis (Deceased). Much loved father of Julia, Margaret and Joanna (Deceased). Loving grandad to Jonathan, James, Victoria, Jack, Grace, Matthew, Joseph and Ruby. Funeral service to be held at Glynn Valley Crematorium on Tuesday 7th February 2023 at 1.30pm. Please dress comfortably, bright clothing encouraged. Family flowers only, donations if desired for either Alzheimer's Society or Alzheimer's Research UK may be left online at wcpltd.com. Dick taught me for 3 years at St Marks, in Chelsea- the other day I thought about him, is he still going? Up came one of his works, which I remember, a landscape, inspired by works of Alan Reynolds- I knew it, as it was in the studio we all painted in, being worked on, altered constantly. He was inspiring to me, going on to be a landscape painter-he did well. Remembered with affection, Douglas Ewen
