GeorgeSLANEYPassed away peacefully in Westvilla Nursing Home on Thursday, 15th December 2022 aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Audrey, loving father of Julie and Philip, proud grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral service to take place at Babworth Crematorium on Monday, 16th January 2023 at 12 noon. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, for the benefit of Alzheimer's Research UK and Cancer Research UK will be gratefully received by Funeral Directors, G.D. Hall, 13 Bridgegate, Retford, DN22 6AE, Telephone 01777701222. A Special 'Thank You' to the staff at Westvilla Nursing Home for all their kind care.

I worked with George at Cottam Power Station in the Operations Department , in fact he trained me on some of the plant. He was a conscientious worker,friendly and genuine. After we all went our different ways I didn’t see him for years. So sorry to hear of his passing. Tim Morris
