I remember Mrs Simpkin, she was one of my first teachers and she was a good one at that. She chose me to be Mary in our Christmas play probably because she recognised me as the shy girl so maybe wanted to increase my confidence. When I sent my children to Alma Park, she was the first teacher I was asking about. Rest in peace ameen.
