It has been an honour and a privilege to get to know Tony over the last 10 years. We met when I became a Befriender for Mind in Cumbria. Tony was starting to take a step back so he could care for his beloved Teresa. I was the apprentice to the Master.
We became friends, as well as colleagues, and he was generous with his time and knowledge.
We "befriended" each other when we both moved to The Peak. He was always great company and I will miss talking politics, football, art and literature with such a wise and gentle soul.

RIP Tony

It was an absolute pleasure to be a friend of yours. You will be sadly missed as you were a very nice and clever man. We had some great discussions Tony on important things, personal chats and some good laughs.

All I can say is that all your family and friends will miss you mate.

Tony was a founding Trustee of the charity PCrefurb and is fondly remembered by our volunteers as a very kind and supportive person and always ready to listen. He never tired of giving praise to our IT refurbishing volunteers when solving computer problems. He was a great help to me when I started working with the charity, advising me on publicity, policies, procedures and very much more. I remember a train trip to Manchester to visit a homeless charity during which we chatted about everything from buildings he had photographed, art, railway logistics and very much more. He was always lovely to catch up with and to talk to. Once he had retired as Trustee he kept in touch and was always happy to share news or information that might help PCrefurb. He will be very much missed by us and many others in this community.

Many happy memories of the 1960's when we shared a flat in Manchester whilst studying at the university. A good friend, modest but very talented. He will be sorely missed.

I met Tony later in both mine and his life. We were joint Trustees for PCRefurb and later just friends who occasionally met and chatted over a cup of coffee and cake.

He was always very supportive of any new adventures I and other friends were undertaking and helped in any way he could.

A really lovely, generous, kind and thoughtful person.
