David Robin KersleySEDDONof Darley Dale passed away peacefully on 18th January 2026 aged 88 years. Former Chief Crown Prosecutor of Derbyshire and University graduate of Oxford.

Much loved dad of Paul, father-in-law of Marie, dear grandad of Daniel and Jamie and a great-grandad of Hugo, Ophelia and Amelia.

A private family cremation will be held.

Donations will be gratefully received for New College, Oxford.

David Seddon (DOB 12/05/37), had high regards for the New College Oxford. He relived many a happy memory during his time spent there. It’s an honour to donate to his beloved University.

A dear brother-in-law and uncle to our children Ben and Katie who remember him being very engaging, an amazing memory and knowledge and respected Crown Prosecutor and enjoying fun food music and dance will be sadly missed.
