Robert ColinSANDERSONIt is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Colin Sanderson at the East Lancashire Hospice on November 9, aged 88. Colin was the beloved husband of 62 years to Wendy, father to Dominic and Declan, and father-in-law to Theresa. After serving in the RAF, Colin taught PE and geography for many years at Holy Family (now Mount Carmel) RC High School in Accrington.
A keen jazz musician and sport enthusiast, he managed the St Ann's and Sacred Heart Football Clubs in the Accrington Combination League. A memorial service will be held at St Mary's RC Church, Oswaldtwistle, at 10.30am on Friday, November 24th. It was Colin's wish that mourners wear bright colours and celebrate his life, not lament his passing.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in memory of Colin to the East Lancashire Hospice or NSPCC.
