Passed away peacefully at Littleover Nursing Home after a long battle with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) on Saturday 27th September 2025, aged 82 years.

Beloved husband of the late Bev, dad to Mel and Clare, father in law to Richard and Chris, grandad to James and Daniel and an uncle too. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all those that knew him.

Funeral service to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent on Tuesday 28th October 2025 at 11.30am. At Jim's request, please wear football shirts, rugby shirts or bright colours.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for Muscular Dystrophy UK. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service.

I worked with Jim for many years at Rolls Royce him as a pipefitter and me as an electrician. He was always good for a laugh
