As years go by and every single tear makes me wish that you were near
so I could hold you close
but, forgive me please that I chose
to still remember your name.
I remember also your kiss your smile and warm embrace
and on this day how could I miss your whispering tender voice
of our love burning like a flame.
I shrug my shoulders and know I'm getting older
but I'm so good at hiding what I feel without confiding my love
for you is still the same.
now on these sunny days
and lonely nights
I have to laugh and say its alright
but how can I ever replace
one so warm with love and grace
