JohnROWLANDSONAfter a long illness, suddenly in Argyle Park Nursing Home, with both his daughters at his side. Aged 79 years. Loving Husband to Patricia. An amazingly wonderful Dad of Sue & Michelle. Father in law of Jonathan & Keith. A much loved Grandad of Kerri, Lee, Laura, Jonathan & Scott. A fond Great Grandad to Evie. Beloved Brother of Jean, Doris & the late Bobby. Brother in law of Colin, Alan, Sheila, Les, Valerie & Steven. A dearly loved uncle, friend and neighbour. Funeral taking place at Southport Crematorium on Thursday 31st December at 11am. Donations in lieu of flowers to Macmillan Nurses c/o J W Ball (Southport) Ltd 95, Bispham Rd, Southport Tel 01704228632.

Belated tribute
Today, I was saddened to discover that John, one of the nicest people I’ve had the good fortune to know had passed away some time ago.
I first met John back in 1969 when as a young apprentice plumber I was assigned to him with Southport corporation, not only was he a warm and friendly colleague, he taught me much of what I learned as an apprentice and indeed in life Though it’s been many years since we’ve seen each other, I often thought of him, wondering how he was doing.
